What else do I need to make this conversion possible?

Im switching from an Ultegra Triple (9 speed) to an Utlegra Double (9 speed). New shifter? New derailer?

Yep...both. With the derailleur, you might be able to fake your way with the old one, but it's best to replace it as well.

Actually with the conversion the original derailleur should be fine. It's only going to do whatever the shifter tells it too.

You can make do with the same shifter, but a double would probably be better. You will need a new bottom bracket, as a triple BB is wider than a double. If you're doing it yourself, try to find a crank that uses the same type of BB, so you don't need to buy 2 different BB tools.

Thanks guys...I think I am going to take it into the LBS and have him switch it out. It makes sense to buy a new shifter ;p
