I'm currently an NCAA runner but after college I'd like to get into Tri's. I bought a Felt F80 last year and usually ride in the summer, this summer I want to do a tri and am considering putting Aero bars on it, maybe even a wing, but in a few years I plan on purchasing a tri specific rbike or TT. So is it better to leave the felt setup, use it for training or would it be better to get used to aero positon on training rides now? Any advice I'm new at this

Just slap some shorty aero bars- bars designed for a road bike on it for now. Dont compromise the position and handling of the road bike by trying to make it into a tri bike, like some people do. A wing is totally unnecessary and wont make you go any faster.

Ride the snot out of this bike till you really decide you're in love with the sport and see how competitive you are. My guess is that as a college runner, you should kick some butt. But hold off on that tri bike for now and enjoy what youve got.

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
