hey all,
i see there has been alot of talk in reguards to aero helmets lately. i was wondering which one you all thought was the best, i have seen some by giro, bell, lg, and rudy, so whats the recomendation?
i just found out there is a loop in the ITU rules that allow them to be used in australia so im in the market!

I used my LAS Chrono for the first time in a TTT on Saturday and loved it. I originally wanted a Bell Meteor II, but they're not sold in the US. I was going to just have it shipped from Europe, but got hooked up with the LAS from a bro deal. I've also heard good stuff about the Giro Advantage. They're all solid helmets. Have fun with getting one!
Honestly? They are all about the same, just get whatever works best/is most comfortable for you.
If you want a pretty cheap place to get the LAS chrono check this place out. www.probikekit.com
Thats where I got mine, free shipping!
They also have nice team wear.
Just FYI, www.totalcycling.com sells the Meteor II and does ship to the US. It ends up being about $200 with shipping. (Just click the US flag on the upper-right corner of the site to pay in US dollars.)
Personally, I found the helmet uncomfortable and resold it. I'll race in my Sweep R.
I think when it comes to top of the line helmets, such as LAS, Giro, Bell, LG Rocket, etc. They are (like Red 5 said) all very much the same. The only difference/ benefit to you would be to find the one that works with your body the best. Chances are they all don't fit the same on your head, thus one might contour to your body better than the rest. Try to find a place that sells them if you can and try them on.

thanks for all the replies everyone. the problem is that NOBODY carries them in stock. they need to be ordered in, so i have to go off the website sizing guide. im thinking of going with either the giro or the bell.....tough choice!
Somebody told me the LG Rocket and GIRO Advantage won in testing (but you know how those tests go ;)
My Master's Elite TT contact (the one who sold me his sweet bike, actually is going to sell me his Rocket from last year for $80.... if it fits.
