This weekend, I was in the central coast in California and went out for a ride at 7:00 am. This is how spoiled we are with weather in CA, because it was probably around 36 degrees and it felt like I was in the Midwest! I had 2 pairs of gloves on, tights on my legs, 2 under armour long sleeves and I still froze the first 45 minutes of my ride. Well, after I thawed out I was able to get in a nice groove and finished my ride on a good note. Then I hoped off my bike and took off on a nice little run. The coast is the ideal place to train.

Once the weather warmed up a bit, it was a perfect day to be training!!

If you were close to me right now I would throw something at you. Just a day ago has been the first time in what seems like forever that it has got above freezing. Damn I would love to live somewhere it doesn't get so cold.

I'm with you J. I'd throw something too perhaps a snowball from all the snow we received over the weekend. ;)

It reached 38 degrees last wednesday here in Pittsburgh. Ah, it was great to run in shorts again!!!!!It's funny how cold is perceived for each of us.

Typical Californiacs (Kyillee and fitnessman) They only know what ice is because it comes in cokes.
I live just a stones throw and a river away from Jstyle. Ran outside today in muck and slop and snow and ice all in the same 6 miles...My road bike refuses to talk to me and my hair is starting to look like fur.
If i lived father north I could nordic ski consistantly...farther south and bike more all winter..outside.

yeah, I'm lucky by where I live. We've had one weekend with a few days I'd consider really cold this year... on the first, it snowed and I stepped into the pool from snow. Then on the long bike there was ice patches on every sidewalk and ever puddle was solid. At 3 or 4pm when heading to dinner they were still there! You guys are much more cold resistant than I am! I'm always impressed by the weather you get training done in :)

Oh, and this year's fun fact: my baby sis just moved to NYC and was excited to get to experience snow, as she doesn't really remember any. When it snowed here first, she was a bit jealous. When it snowed at my brother's in Tucson before on her, she started to get upset.

After having an unseasonably warm Dec. and parts of Jan. February was the coldest month I can remember. I can take the cold but the wind on top of it can get depressing.

The bright side is that it makes the nicer weather seem so much better. It got into the low 40's lst week and this week and it felt great to run in shorts
