I could've sworn I read somewhere about a site where you can caculate the beats per minute in a song and then use that to put toghether a play list for running. I searched this site (and others) but couldn't find the post. Does anyone know how or where to find this kind of info - I'd really like to put together a playlist of similar tempo music for my long runs.

Thanks - Ant

Done that......but from what i remember, this site takes a song with the beat you like/want and matches it with other songs. Thought it sounded pretty cool.......

I havent heard of a site like that before but in Itunes, you can set it up to tell you the BPM. Then you can organize your songs according to bpm and make a playlist that way. I cant tell you exactly how to do it because I'm at school right now and this computer doesnt have itunes on it. I hope this helps.

I don´t run or bike with music but I´m subscribed to a podcast called Podrunner that gives you weekly mixes with a particular bpm (different every week).

I know this is not what you are looking for but if you like to run with music you might check it out.

Podrunner is great. Makes the miles on the trainer go by a bit quicker and he's got it all set up by BPM. You can find all his podcasts on the itunes site...and the bonus is that they are free.

Podrunner's a great site.

http://exerciseradio.com/ isn't too bad either. They provide DJ mixed podcasts with BPM ranges as well.
