I don't know if this is under the "health/nutrition" or training...

Within the last week, during my run portion, my belly has been "gurgling" or feels like its "sloshing". I didn't think I drank much (a few gulp from the water bottle) before starting the run and it's usually 5 hours after lunch.

Am I not getting enough food before run? too much water before run? need a snack?

Normally that is too much water. A little bit or gurgle isn't bad but too much can hurt you some.

Sometimes it's about how you drink.
Swallow air with your water and it leaves room in the stomach for sloshing.
Using a water bottle and sucking on the nipple may reduce this effect, but you'll figure it out by trial and success. We all did.

That's air in your stomach. PrinceofClydes is right. It won't hurt you unless you get a big build up. Then you'll get a sharp pain. When that releases, you'll feel better but then it hurts everyone around you.

Tip: During the race, if drinking from a cup, squeeze the top together then drink. You'll take in less air that way.

I'm all for protecting the environment from pollution and being neighborly to my fellow runners --- so I'll take your advice! Thanx much! :D
