That was fun to watch! I secretly was hoping for a fall though:)

Never tried them, and after watching that, probably never will!

That is pretty typical first time out.
It gets easier.
Also it helps to get your cadence up. Balance is much easier once up to speed.
Stick with it tho...the benefits are worth it.

Too high a gear to start with. Up the cadence, let go of the wall, and DO NOT look at the front wheel. I prefer to look about 5 to 10 feet in front of the bike, as this helps with my balance.

Good for you for trying and posting that! I hope that when you get the hang of it, you will post another video to show your progress.

I agree with the others' advice - get up to speed with your hand in the doorway - easyish gear, high cadence. I usually bike in the doorway to the kitchen of my parents' house and the edge of the toaster lines up with the middle of the rollers so I look at that. Then let go of the wall and keep riding. It gets easier with practice...

When you get really good you can try this:

Who knew that Fabio was so talented? :)

Thanks for the advice everyone. That will help a lot. I'm excited to get better at this! I will try and post another clip once I've made some real progress.
