Wetsuit fit
YES, I ABSOLUTELY HAVE A RECOMMENDATION FOR YOU! I am 5' 8" tall and weigh 210 lbs, been lifting weights for 20 years, never thought I'd find a wetsuit to fit me because I definately don't have a triathlete type body. I have a 48" chest and a 34" waist. Quintana Roo makes an XL-SHORT! Got mine a few weeks ago and it fits great.
I had no luck finding a wetsuit that fit until I tried a DeSoto. The pants and top are separate pieces. You can pair a larger top with a shorter pant and you can also choose between sleeves and sleeveless.
im a short guy too. only 5'7. with long legs and a short torso. i got a 2XU because they make all sizes in a short, normal and Long version. my recomendation is to go and try on as amny different brands as possible and then make a decision
Speed Kills. Strength Punishes

Hi all - just finished my first season and am now committed enough to the sport to "gear-up". Just bought my first tri bike ('07 Felt S22, review sometime soon) and am now shopping for wetsuits. I only did one race last year with a wetsuit - a HIM using a borrowed Ironman brand longjohn. I never considered myself claustraphobic but I definitely felt a little panicky/contsticted the first couple times I wore it in practice swims. I overcame it in practice swims but it resurfaced a bit raceday (I think some of the people swimming over me may have contributed).
I do have a non-standard body shape being shorter (5'6") with rather broad shoulders/ribcage that is probably exacerbating the situation. I am shopping for a full suit now and was curious if anyone had any recommendations for a suit that works for shorter/broader people. Thanks!
