My Best 10k Ever!
Outstanding...a PR is always a wonderful gift. Are you happy with it? ...Then don't worry if others think it's slow...
Congrats qb...you deserve it.

Congatulations on the PR!
No need to be concerned with age, there's always time left for improvement. Every day spent training rewards you with the opportunity to grow as an athlete and the ability to reach your goals.
AWESOME DAY!!!

Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.
Thats the great thing about running and mulitsport, it's all about you. There is always someone faster or better but if you are feeling good about your race, you have succeeded. Now go out and train to get the guy in front of you next time. :)
Congrats!!!!
woohoo! Congrats on a nice race! :)
Awesome job! A PR is a PR! Congrats!
Thanks guys - I really appreciate it. I was sooo pleased with my time today. This year (my 5th season) I'm finally going Olympic - St. Anthony's in April - and I was really worried about the 10K at the end. After today, I have renewed confidence. I guess when you realize the training has paid off, you just wanna keep it going. I can't wait for the next race!!!!
Thanks again - Ant

Awesome Ant, keep up the great work!
Awesome work Ant. I'm running my first 10k in April and my goal is to just get sub-60. I'd be stoked on a 56:20.
Today I ran a local 10K and had my best time ever at this distance - 56:20 and I took 2nd in my ag.
Ant
CONGRATULATIONS! That is awesome. 2nd in AG = NOT slow.
And yes - there is time to improve. Just keep getting better and don't worry about getting older!

PR's are awesome. I remember by happiest PR ever: Breaking 1:00 in the 50 yard butterfly when I was 10. I was still last in the race by oh 20 seconds or something, but it was a PR by over 30. It certainly is not a time most people would be proud of, and I look back and laugh all the time, but I remember being absolutely on top of the world :-P
Being on the podium is being on the podium only one person beat you in your AG so it's good to be stoked over that.
This race was one of the better local races in the area - a 5k, 10K and 1/2 marathon. Last year I ran the 5K and came in 3rd, this year I ran the 10K and came in 2nd, looks like next year it's the 1/2 mary and uh... maybe a first place spot : D - talk about motivation!!!!!

Today I ran a local 10K and had my best time ever at this distance - 56:20 and I took 2nd in my ag. I gotta tell you guys, it may seem slow to a lot of you out there, BUT IT MADE MY DAY! It's funny, reading the other thread going on now about aging, I'm hoping there's still time left for improvement (I'm 47). It's such a great feeling to actually see the results of your hard work - I just wanted to share it with the "fam".
