I got a reply from the folks organizing the race.
Yes there will be an event. We are working out the details and it will either be August 5th or 12th. Should have it confirmed by the end of this week.

Does any one know if the Lake Zurich Tri will be going ahead this year? Thie race was canceled last year and is a great alternative to the crowds and long lines at the Chicago tri.
