Aegis Cycles?
A very good friend of mine has one and she loves it. It's an '02 or'03 I believe...and they have been around much longer than that...unlike some companies who just started doing carbon. I borrowed and rode one for a week last summer and felt it was a great ride...and I'm not a fan of carbon (sacrilege!) stiff, responsive...if I ever went carbon...it would be Aegis.

I ride an Aro Svelte for training rides and some races. It's a great bike. It's such a great bike that it's actually somewhat of a family heirloom at this point. It was originally my father's, but was passed to me when he moved to C-Dales for road racing and I've been using it steadily for almost three years now. Has to have close to 20,000 miles on it between the two of us.
Very sweet ride, very comfortable, lightweight with the right setup, a great bike. Though it did crack once, Aegis was great to deal with and covered the repair through the warranty. If I could ever afford it I'd love to pick up a T2 or one of those new tri frames they are selling.

Does anyone know much about Aegis cycles? When I'm bored I look around online at bike companies and develop bicycle envy. Anyway, it looks like a solid company with handmade carbon frames built in a little warehouse in Maine. I like how they can basically customize the frame colors/patterns to the rider. How do they ride? Do they compare to the more commercial bikes on the market (Felt, Cervelo, etc)?
Thanks
