Hello all. I am in the market for a dedicated triathlon/TT bike after using a modified road bike last year. I have narrowed my choices down to the 2007 Trek Equinox 7, and the 2007 Cervelo P2SL. Now from what i have read it seems most people favour the P2, but since the Eq7 is a new model this year I was wondering if anyone's opinion has changed. It seems that the Cervelo has a much better component group than the Trek, therefore I am leaning that way.
Does anyone have any input?
Thanks a bunch.
Patrick

Well, the P2 sells for a bit more than the E7, so it is better equiped. And you might have problems getting your hands on a E7 before early april. Both are good bikes, and you wont lose any races because of the bikes.

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.

I would take a look at a Planet X bike. All carbon and priced as good or better than the bikes you mentioned plus PX is a superior overall bike. Take a look at:

Good luck no matter what you buy!

I bought an E7 and it has been a good bike for my first year. This winter I've been slowly upgrading the parts for the heck of it. Switched to Ultegra, bought some profile design t2 s bends and wing bar and a carbon crank. Wheels are next. Truthfully though, other than a better set of wheels and my preference for the better bars, that is all you would eventually need to have a nice bike.
