I used to live in Rkfd. That is a really nice area.
The course looks great. It is really tempting to add a 3'rd HIM to the race schedule. I'm already doing another HIM that month as well as the Horribly Hilly Hundreds (200K).
Will have to check the training plan and see how it lines up.

My hometown (Rockford, IL) will be hosting the 1st ever Rockman Triathlon on June 10 this year. Its a half-iron distance triathlon and it will be awesome!
This is in easy day of race driving distance from Chicago, Madison, and Milwaukee...

If I am home during that part of the summer, I will be doing it. The course will be beautiful and rolling with plenty of aid stations (I will be able to recruit volunteers if I do the race). I train on the course sometime when I am home and can vouch for its niceness.
If Racine fills up before you can sign up, you decide Racine is a little too pricey, you want to do a less crowded race, or you wish to do a HIM and still have plenty of time before a fall IM, this is for you!
