Opinions on this kit?
Looks like a nice setup!...I'm not familiar with the bike brand but I looked at the grouppo...not bad. Make sure you can get it fit well... Going with a road bike instead of a tri specific bike is a good idea since you are just starting...but that's my opinion.
The tri bars are basicaly a starter set and you might want to see about an upgrade.
The Keo pedals are sweet...I have the same ones.
Zoot makes good stuff.
Really..buying what you need for tris is about what you are comfortable with...euro/pound/dollar wise. What fits well and what you look good in ;) !
Considering you have nothing...it's worth a look.

Its a nice little kit, but thats a bit of change to plunk down. I think one could get a better deal by going for a 105 equipped bike, and find the other stuff on ebay or clearance online.
Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
That looks really nice. I think that while you probably could get everything you need for a little bit cheaper if you really search, the time savings of having it all in one place at the shop in one day makes it worth it. All the stuff looks like pretty good quality gear as well. Its certainly not top of the line, but it is good enough that nothing will slow you down and it will last you a long time...
The bike company name sort of was drifting around in my brain...
so I googled them

I think is a good kit, if you are short of time and don't want to loose it, get it. As catwood said you'll save a lot of time.
The only thing I'm suspicious of is 1 hour for shoe/bike and wetsuit fitting? It took me an hour just to try on wetsuits when I bought mine. The last shop I went into (where I'll be buying my bike) said that they'd spend 2-4 hours getting me properly fitted! I've bought lots of bikes over the years and it pays huge to go to a shop that knows what they're doing. High volume shops tend to slap bikes together and after 3 months (or less) everything starts coming loose, creaks, falls off or otherwise ruins your ride. Or they swear that you that you need a 59cm frame just because they need to move it off the floor (happened to me!).
Greatness is only achieved by those who perpetually raise the expectations of themselves to the point where it ruins their life.

A lbs has a whole section devoted to tri's. My wetsuit's fairly bad, and i don't have ANY proper gear at all, but this season i'm gonna be buying it since i'm fairly certain this is something i'll stick with.
What do you guys think? Never heard of Lapierre. Anyone know anything about these bikes?
Seems like a decent enough set up though. i wouldn't need much more than that?
cheers.
