Hi all,

I'm looking at getting a trainer. What are some of your favorites? I'm hoping to spend 250 or less. I had a minoura rim drive one and the resistance was not strong enough.

I use the Kurt Kinetic. It's very well-built, relatively quiet, and has plenty of resistance.

Cycleops 2 Fluid Trainer is the gold standard.

You can probably find it cheaper than it is at the above link but at least you will get the idea of what it is like. The unit is very quiet and provides a great workout.
