After a big time stomach issue last week limited my training time to pretty much nothing, I am back at it with a bang this week. And it feels good!
30 minute fast and intense session in the weight room this morning, and a 5.5 mile get the legs moving again run. Tomorrow is long ride day! Woo!

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.

I know what you guys mean...it's been cold and wet here for the last few months, and this week we've got some high pressure ridge causing nothing but bright sunny days (still a little chilly though).

I've been out riding 3 times this week, with 3 more days planned if the weather holds.

It is still months away until I can get the bike out of the basement!

Can't wait to get out on some long rides. The wind chill here this morning was -15 F. Call me a wuss but I'm not biking in that. I've been getting back into swimming and trail running though. Looking to do an off-road HIM this year. Anyone have some suggestions for a good one?

The race is just the finale to all of your training. Enjoy the celebration.

I always look at the week/time off to recover from an inury as a taper to train more. When you take the time you come back stronger and refreshed - Nice job holding back instead of trying to push through the GI problem.

Ok, I'm over it. After my 4 hour ride yesterday, and the DOMS from the weights kicking in, I hurt. Ugh. But I am still looking forward to my run in a bit. Glad tomorrow is an off day.
