Ooooooo an oldie but goodie. Took a rest day yesterday cause the legs hurt but this morning in the 0*C (32F) weather I got up and rode for an hour, then came back, cold, changed clothes and went for a 32km run. Took the hydration backpack with me and hit EVERY portopotty on the way to half point :p 2L of gatorade. Orange going in and clear comin' out! Sugar makes the long runs better. IMAZ is looming  So off to the pool for a set (~2100m)

Always a fun thread! 1:30min run, 11.5miles @ an easy 7:48 pace. 102 miles on the bike yesterday cooked my quads!

Long run day today, which is only 9 miles at this point. It's sunny and cold outside, I'm waiting until about 1:30 when I'll have optimum warmth and hit a local trail. I'll do 1:30 spin this evening on the trainer, then take my kids to see David Copperfield tonight. Wheee!

2 hour MTB ride nice and easy with some newbies. Nothing crazy. Tomorrow is long run day. Woo!

Today marked the last really long training weekend before heading off to IM-NZ. Yesterday was a very good day, logged 110.7 miles on the computrainer in 5:43, did a little 2 mile recovery run to loosen up and today was a 1,500 m. swim and a 3hour 19.8 mile treadmill run. What a great weekend. The taper
starts now. Anybody else headed to Taupo?

Areobic Time Trial on the bike. That was good.

Then made up an easy run and a swim session that I missed earlier in the week due to travel for work.

A long run to end in style a good week....20km...
Yesterday, I took the day off, since I went to donate 1 unit of blood for MD Anderson Blood Bank...
Today I hydrate myself agresively before going out...at the beggining my heart rate was a bit high, but then I think my body got in to balance, and I was flying....I enjoyed so much...nice weather, sun out...

LSD run today--8 miles on an indoor track. (Temps would have been tolerable at around 18F today, but the wind made me opt for indoors).

Yesterday -- 2 hours total on rollers and the trainer. My first time hitting the two hour mark this offseason.

8 mile tempo run in the morning, was supposed to do a 30 min ocean swim, but it's pouring and I don't really want Hepatitis, so it's looking like the pool this afternoon.

1 hr on the eliptical trainer, half hour water jogging in the morning. (Still can't run with achilles injury...start therapy tomorrow at a sports med clinic). In the evening did 1 hr on trainer. (Lake effect snow and outdoor biking don't go together) Good week, 13 hrs plus (base 1 week 2 complete for IMWI plan). Week was a max strenght week for the weights, definitely feel it in the legs and shoulders/back when swimming!.

Wow, you guys (and gals) are nuts! I did a brick: 25 mile bike / 3 mile run, and I thought that was a lot. Tomorrow swim 1500m and do abs and arms in the gym. This evening ordered 3 new bike jerseys and 2 pair of tri shorts. I guess I can't tell the wife anymore she can't have that new Coach purse, huh?

Yesterday I enjoyed a Swiss day of Federer, Fondue and Frey (Swiss) chocolate :D Can't beat that!

Today I did an 11-mile LSR on the grass at the local park. It was 41 degrees when I was finished at 9:00am. Brrrrr..I'm still trying to warm up.

Seriously man just go and buy it for her, you know she is gonna get it anyways and that helps give you crazy good points :)

Back onto the thread now that I have jacked it. Sunday was my happy swim day. I am still gleaming with happiness on how well it went 4300 straight all laps back to back.

Yeah, um- I'm doing my time on the elliptical. My temps said 35 at 8am. With 10- 20 mph winds. That = me sleeping in a bit.

off day from real training yesterday as I was in beautiful Tucson AZ to visit my nephews (and their parents). Spent a while at the park with my nephews (2 1/2 yrs and 3 mo) and their cousin (just 3 yrs) and my brother. Got to go down slides, push on swings, play football, and walk many many laps around the slides "auntie ky look at me" with a fusy baby who's tummy was upset. I'm exhausted, but in a good way!

Take it from someone who has a Coach collection (worth more than all my tri gear- bikes included), you cannot tell her she cannot have the bag. Handbags are in important part of every ladies wardrobe :)

That's funny, get married and you will. And as a cop, when I'm taking a report of a stolen purse, and it's a Coach, usually the purse is worth more than what was in it.

This morning it was 50 degrees here in Ft Lauderdale, OUCH! I woke up and thought I was back in Jersey, what a nightmare. I ran 6 miles covered up from head to toe, hat and gloves included. I can't take the cold anymore. Tourists are out running in shorts and tees looking at me like I'm nuts. I guess it's all relative.

I'd just like to say that I got snow this year (in southern CA -- east of LA) and my brother got snow this year (Tucson, AZ) before my sister got any (NYC, NY). So it can get cold here! It's just rare :)

(And yes, I still swam in an outdoor pool that morning)
