I have been strugling to keep my goggles from leaking. I have been using both the aquashere goggles as well as the seal mask. They are both about 2 years old now. Do they wear out? Is there something better than a silicone goggle? Any recomendations?

Not much better than the aquashpere stuff, but the seal can deform over time. I had to throw away a relatively new pair once, cause i left em in my car during the day, and they deformed.

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.

My favorite goggles of all time have always been Swedes. They never wear out and they're only $4. I've been using them over 10 years and almost everyone I've ever swam with has too. I doubt you can find them in a store unless it's a swimming specialty store (not many of those around), so your best bet is at a swim meet's vendor table or online. Just google swedish goggles.

Chlorine is brutal on all materials so yes, the seals on goggles wear out over time.

The best thing to do is go to the swim store and try on a bunch of different goggles. Push them against your eye socket and see if they make a seal. If they do then that is a good google for you.

I have never been able to wear Swedes but lots of people swear by them. It really depends on the anatomy of your face.

I spend a lot of time in the chlorinated pool during the winter. I bet that's it. Thanks... I'll just plan on replacing them every once in a while.

I second this opinion.I've been using swedes for seven years, I'll never use another goggle.
