De soto TTT this May?...Train smart & hard girl. The course makes IMLP look like IMFL. I DNF'd there 4 years ago when I broke a crank on the second lap!

Nice read. I am real glad I wasnt the only one suffering from the unseasonal (even for Florida) weather. I wore my lightest running outfit and socks, and still came away throughly soaked through. I hadnt had the forsite to salt load, cause I didnt think I would be out there long enough to need it. Yeah.
Glad you enjoyed you stay here in FL. Sea World is a great park. Sont worry about the quality of life of the animals, theyre treated better than the employees!
Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.

Um...people who work at Sea World are called "crew members," not employees :) I got a kick out of signs everywhere about that. And Disney calls them "cast members."
And now I can say I ran Disney on the record low weekend on record (2006) and on close to the record high (2007). Considering I was close in time both outings, I'm pretty OK with how I did.
Imagine this--I am going to run an OPEN 1/2 MARATHON ALL BY ITSELF in March! I wonder if I can do that??? :)

The goofy was by far my slowest half and full times. I also had more fun then all my other marathons combined. I knew going in the time would be slow due to a recent injury (over trained). But thanks to my fellow goofy training partners and the abality my bum calf gave me to just run without watching a stop watch or following a plan....I just had fun. I should be injured once every few years to remember what it's like to stop for pictures with Poo ( the bear....the other is a whole new thread) to drink the beer and dance with the characters (the crowd).
