I believe there is the Big Kahuna HIM in Santa Cruz in September. I want to say it's like the 10th.

I just did the Big kahuna this past september. It was my first half and I loved it. This year i will also be doing Vineman which is in sonoma. Good luck!!!!

Vineman Half is July 22nd by Santa Rosa.
Vineman Full has Barb's Half on the same day (a women's only half): Aug 4th (also just north of Santa Rosa).
Big Kahuna is Sept 9th in Santa Cruz
CaliMan Half is June 10th in Morgan Hill.
Pacific Crest Half Iron in Bend, OR June 23
Las Vegas Tri Sept 30th (Boulder City, NV)
SOMA Half in Tempe, AZ on Oct 28th (a bit more of a drive, but doable).
Silverman might have a half in 2007 although I didn't see it on their website: Henderson, NV (by Vegas) on Nov 11th.

See here is the thing if you want to do a HIM race you can't be like I have almost decided, I think I might I commit, I am near certain... Just do it and make a commitment RIGHT NOW! :)
Ok, I finally made the desision, and I am almost positve that I'm going to do a Half at the end of this summer aug/sep. I still need to decide what one im going to do. I need something within driving distance (500 miles or so) of Sacramento CA. Any ideas?
