question: ♥I love the finis mp3 (underwater) player-
I've never swam with one, although I've wondered the same thing since sounds are so different under water, and I know I don't like when people near me have metronomes on. Perhaps ask one of the people swimming near you? I doubt they'd mind, especially if you preface it with wanting to be sure you aren't disrupting them!
Or maybe even just put it in the water by you but not on your head and see if you can still hear it...
I swam next to a guy who was wearing one (at least I think it was) I didn't hear a thing.

Same here. Swam next to a girl a while ago and couldn't hear anything.
If if I could, it probably be a good thing. That black line is pretty boring.;)
EDIT: if anything, it's the least rude thing you could do to play music. Being rude would be asking someone to turn it off....
Same here, I swam next to a guy for a couple months (where'd he go?) that wore one and never heard anything.
Relax and enjoy it!!
FLY NAVY !!!!
I have one and I love it. I loaned it to a guy who wanted to check it out and I swam next to him and couldn't hear a single thing.
You only hear it when you take it off while out of the water and the sound has nowhere to go. Even then, the volume is pretty low.

♥I love the finis mp3 (underwater) player I got for christmas- and understand how it works and all. It has great sound quality- my swim went faster.
**BUT, can anyone tell me for SURE that the rest of the swimmers in the ymca pool can not hear my tunes? I know they can hear a little bit of the "tinny" sound when my head's above the water- but what about when I'm under?
Although it uses bone conduction for the sound transmission, i just feel like i need to now from the rest of you, that I'm not being rude in the pool
Thank you for putting up with me♥
