or the Christmas Bunny, or whomever, if you have no superstitions.

Happy New Years amigos!

It is the 27th and snow has been falling all night, about 6 inches accumulated so far.

I've been out of the office since Xmas Eve - turkey dinners - my first since 2000, a sushi party on the 24th, then dinner at the GF's sister's house watching her nieces and nephews get all excited over presents.

I got a fanny pack water bottle for running, a Sugoi cycling jersey, Saucony gel runners, one month gym membership, a massage certificate and some other stuff non-tri-related: a dressy sweater, Streisand CD, a full length v. classy, wool car coat (the GF has good taste, but can't Tri for beans. heh.)

So what about you girls/guys?

And I am the happiest man on the planet because this is going to be my first season and I figured I would just ride my mountain bike the first year since I was doing Sprint distances but nope my wife got me a bike. And if someone could please tell me how to attach something to a post I will so you guys a picture of my new beauty.

Watched a major marathon of Married w Children on the TV all day, litterally yesterday. I gotta get my sorry ass out of here. Haven't really eaten THAT much but more than usual. Gotta burn it off. Thank God for tri training!

Prezis.....I got a technical shirt from my bro and I love it. Have all the tri shtuff I need but got a great presi I wanted though, not tri related. ...but i do need a pair of new shorts. Gonna get those now. Cheaper. LOL!

I was wondering how well those worked. Seemed almost too good to be true. I assumed all swim workouts must be boring in order to be effective and being able to listen to music would ruin the "boredom zen" of swimming! lol

I got this really cool fleece jacket from my youngest daughter. It has all these zipper pockets for the iPod, cell phone, etc, etc. Will be good to run in once the "really" cold weather hits.

I got a Planet X bike I.O.U (we didn't order in time... I'm also giving the boy one). And then got bar extensions (not sure what they are called) for the mountain bike. And rim tape for the road bike (yes, santa had some help on those as my mom doesn't do anything bike/run/swim related). And lots of sport-style socks. And a few books. And tri magazines. I think that's the main things :)

I have never ridden one of these bikes but I have to say they are one of the most bad a$$ looking tri bikes I have ever seen pictures of. Be sure to post some feedback on how it rides when you finally get the bike. Also did you buy it here in the States or are you in Canada? I notice their pricing is not in dollars so I was not clear on the cost of the bike.

I can't wait to test it out and you can bet I'll post more once I do :) Right now we are working with the guy to figuring out sizing and see if I should go Small or wait for the XS that is coming out soon. And I'm in the US... Although mainly British (I believe) they are here now as well. I'm not sure on the pricing part since we're working that out with a friend who is associated with them.

A huge wok...I'm talking like a 2 foot diameter. I will be a happy man cooking for quite a while.

Other than that things were kept pretty small, as our family christmas present will be spending a week in kona come february. :)

-Ipod Nano from the wife and tons (ok, about $100 worth) of iTunes gift cards;
-2 year renewal on my Triathlete mag subscription from the inlaws;
-lots of clothing gift cards because I've lost a good amount of weight from tri-training and my clothes are too big!

I am going to have to show my wife the posts about people getting new bikes for Christmas --too big a hint for next year????

Didn't think about the SwiMp3, but that would have been cool (although I admit that I am not swimming insane distances (IMHO insane = 2000 yds+) where I get that bored (yet).

:) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! :)

Got an MP3 player from my wife... :cool:

Also a few gift cards for "real" clothes. All this weight loss from tri training has made most of my clothes too big!
I guess that is a hint that my "real" clothes have been neglected in order to buy tri gear during the year. :D

I have the Forerunner 305 and I LOVE it. I got the forerunner because I wanted to be able to use it on the run which has become invaluable.

Yeah, I had been hoping for a Forerunner, but I got an Edge with the heart rate monitor and cadence options, so who am I to complain. And the Edge seems to work fine for the run, just have to be a little more creative to carry it. I've got a cell phone case it fits in and clips to the armband for my ipod.
