As I have posted before, I started swimming not to long ago in anticipation of my first tri next spring. At first I had trouble even swimming a lap. It took me a while to work up to 75 yards without resting. Then a couple weeks ago I did 300 yards. Last week I swam 500 yards without stopping and thougth that was a big jump. It was hard and I have been concerned that I would be able to ever swim olympic distance. Then this morning I went to the pool and started swimming with the goal of hitting 500 yards again. I hit 500 yards and just kept going and going and going. I didn't stop till I hit 1500 yards. I'm there!! I couldn't believe it. I still have until May to improve my time. It took my 30 minutes to swim 1500 yards. I'm still in shock.

Sure is nice when you actually start to swim rather than struggle. Way to go!

Good job! It feels good to get through that struggling threshold doesn't it?

Congrats! It took me a while to find that rhythm that you describe but it's a wonderful feeling to undergo such progress! I'm happy you found it!
