That´s cool! The new Zeland race sound interesting but I´m sure airline ticket is astronomical!!!
I had to put my Im 70.3 and IM aspirations on hold for now since I´m going back to college next year. But it sounds realy cool.

I got an email from Mark Allen online (i am using their training program currently). They are offering two free entries to IMNZ or discount entry to Buffalo Springs. See below.

You have to have a current training program with us and can not be registered for the race already to be eligible for this offer.
Buffalo Springs is a great race; it has to be one of the longest standing Hawaii Ironman qualifiers. Because the race is in the middle of Texas and there is no large airport nearby the competition is not quite as deep as other Ironman qualifiers. Granted that because there are not many slots in any half Ironman Hawaii qualifier it is still difficult to qualify for Kona but in general the chances for a higher placement are much better at Buffalo Springs. Coach Luis Vargas has participated in the race before and can offer you some great training tips.

Free entry into Ironman New Zealand (first come first serve)

If you are still considering entering Ironman New Zealand and have not yet. Perhaps this will help you make up your mind. We have two free entries for Ironman New Zealand. To be eligible for this offer you have to not be registered already and you have to have an Ironman New Zealand training program with us. This is only to help those who are still thinking about entering. Next Monday is exactly 12 weeks to this race so you would have to go online this week and get that 12 week program for Ironman New Zealand from us, pay for the 12 weeks and be eligible. This will be done on a first come first serve basis. Don’t delay. New Zealand is a great vacation destination and the race has 80 Hawaii Ironman qualifying spots.
