Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.
Nice job. Never thought that I'd be tempted to do an ultra, but that sounded pretty cool!

While it's not a triathlon, I wanted to post a race report on the ultra endurance run I did last weekend, mostly to encourage anyone in this area thinking about doing an ultra to DO THIS RACE. Santa Barbara 9 Trails is a 35 mile trail race in the Los Padres National Forest with over 10,000 feet of elevation gain. This race is filled with amazing people, amazing technical trails, amazing volunteers and amazing views, as well as what is rumored to be one of the best pre-race dinners in all of ultrarunning. To keep a pretty long story short, I loved the race and you can find the really long version here.
