So I am new to the tri thing -- been a cyclist (road and mountain) for 15 years and at one point a highly competitive MTB racer. I got into Tris this summer and am now totally hooked. I guess I needed a new challenge.:D

I had my list of favorite sites to pick up gear online for biking, but wanted to know what everyone thinks is the best online Triathlon speicific catalog??

This year I'll be upgrading my bike, will need more clothing, other accessories, etc...

For swim gear like training swimwear, goggles, ear plugs, I go to swim2000.com or swimoutlet.com. For running shoes and biking gear, I know what I need and find it on ebay.

I haven't found one specific tri online shopping web site to be much better than the other. If you shop around for the best price, you end up picking things up on ebay more than at retail sites.

I've ordered from Trisports.com a couple of times and have been very impressed with the service and specials.

Believe it or not I found a HR monitor on a Karate website, karatedepot.com, that was the cheapest anywhere. I searched all around and just happened on this site with the Reebok HR monitor $30.00 cheaper than retail.

The day after Thanksgiving I found this same HRM advertised at Sports Authority for $49.99. Great price!!!! I was pissed 'cause If I had known I could have saved more money.

Also, Amazon.com had the Cyclops Fluid 2 trainer on sale for $239 that retailed for $299. If you signed up for there credit card you got another $30 off! $209 for that trainer is GREAT!!!

I guess my point is do a lot of searching, it really pays off! If I want to buy something, anything, I google it and search away.

I like all3sports and trisports, but I'll still shop around for good sales or free shipping. Swimoutlet is great too.

The best place I've found for shoes is Holabird Sports, the prices are insane and I always get my order 2 days later, regular shipping, here in the northeast.

Happy shopping:D

Trisports (which has a Trifuel discount), all3sports, and trizone are all pretty good for the tri-specific stuff. If you know the exact thing you want, checking eBay is always an option (I've gotten a wetsuit that way).

If you know the product that you are going to purchase then google's "froogle" service is great. If you go there and type in the product name, then the site will search the entire web and return all the prices. A short, easy way to find the lowest prices. I just got a pair of Asics that retail for $100, for $70 through that.

and no I don't work for them. I have ordered many things from them and on the one occasion something was wrong (wasn't their fault, box was damaged in shipping) they immeadiately reshipped my product and took the shipping charges off the original. Their customer service is the best I have ever worked with.

For tri gear I like Tri Sports. Holabird for running shoes.

I've ordered from both Trizone and Trisports.

Trisports has the best customer service. They sent me the wrong item. I called them up and a few days later had the correct item and a free shipping return tag without any hassle or attitude from them.

nashbar.com for all biking stuff, cheapest you can find new equipment; although the tri specific stuff is somewhat limited, for components, tools, tires, etc, you cant beat em
