Log Features
I would like a split feature in the workouts or another way to better catalog a Brick workout... I currently enter each sport seperately, but I dont think it accurately reflects the brick.
Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
Yes, the brick workouts are quite difficult to log. If somehow we could incorporate one log, with room for the HR, split, and T1/T2 time for the brick, I would be happy.

I would like to see the log hold 2 years worth of data instead of just 1 year. This way we can compare two seasons worth of information.

Why do you think that it can't hold more than a years worth?
I have got three years worth of data in my log.
The yearly comparison plot does just that.

can the date syntax be improved?
either not inputting the year at all... [have it assume the most recent input]
or going mo-da-yr instead?[otherwise a fine application, thx roger & tribro!]
The date format will take almost any string of text and try to make a date out of it.
All of the following are valid examples:
- 2006-06-10
- 10/6/06 (6 oct 06)
- 11/1 (1 nov 06)
- today
- yesterday
- next monday
- - 5 days
- tomorrow
- 1nov
- 1nov05
The only format it does NOT take is dd/mm/year because it can't tell the difference between that and mm/dd/year for example.
06/11/06 could be 6NOV06 or 11JUN06.

One option is that you can define a brick keyword. Enter the brick as individual sports (like you are doing now). But when you make the sport entries add the brick keyword to them. This gives a couple of benefits
- The individual sports are totaled and compared against other nonbrick running/biking/etc.
- the pace plot for a sport can annotate entries made with a particular keyword. (see the example below).
- The keyword will appear when view the log so you know it wasn't just another run.
Here is an example of the pace plot annotating runs I did pushing a double jogginig stroller. I have a keyword called "double stroller" and I just add it to the sport entry when I push that beast.

Again define a T1 and T2 keyword with the units of minutes (like me) or seconds if you are really fast. ;-)
Then when you do a race or brick just long the transition time with the appropriate keyword. The nice thing about this is that you can make plot of your transition times with the "keyword plot".
Here are my T2 times... yes I know they are bad.

What do you want to do with the split data?

Very nice! For some reason I thought I read that it will only hold 1 year worth of info. I guess I thought that since alot of the filters maxed out at 1 year but clearly it holds more.
Thanks for the info!

ya, you just have to manually change the date in the forms. the defaults are for the last year, but you can plug in any dates you want.
I'm looking forward to plotting my improvements in 2007 over 2006's data, the first year i reall started tracking stuff.
Whoa-
From reading this post, my log needs to become alot more specific. I also need to set my goals more clearly. Thanks guys!

Roger is going to be working more on the log over the winter months. Let's use this thread to throw out any ideas or comments for him to work with. What features do you use most? Can those functions be improved, easier to do? What features do you not use at all? What stuff might you like to see added? etc.
thanks.
