Strength training programs?
I use the one from CTS which is not only for the offseason. you should continue lifting all year round. THe amount of reps, weight,e tc, changes to light but it´s not exclusive for a season.
I have heard of people using the on Friel provides in his book " The Triathletes training bible" too.
Hyperactive Trifueler!!!! (I refuse to let the status go :p)
Well, Friel's book 'The Triathlete's Training Bible' describes all imaginable lifting workouts needed! During all phases and for all kinds of objectives.

Thanks. I have Friel's book. I forgot that it had a lifting part to it. I will check it out again.
I'm not sure if I'll continue to lift during training because of yoga-it becomes just too much to do it all sometimes!
:)

And I need a 48 hours day because besides work I have other stuff to pack in my days: studying the piano, studying german, reading and studying for my Masters Degree course!
And also my girlfriend! Now that takes some time, huh?

Everything can we well adapted for your tri´s the piano lessons can give your fingers and hands some ability for breaking and changing gears, opening gels, etc. The german can realy help you a lot if you have an #$%% passing you on the right. the girlfriend can be trained for giving you post workout or post race massages (with an added bonus).

So I've taken 3 weeks off- OK well not completely off but have seriously cut down my workouts. And now I'm ready to get back on the horse. I used to life twice a week for years up until May when I started doing Bikram (90 minute yoga with strong strength component) 2-3 times a week. I think that I should probably also include some lifting in the off season. Can anyone recommend an online base strength training program? Thanks for your help and Happy Thanksgiving!
