Thanks
Anton, it's not thanksgiving here in Brazil but all of you from these forums receive my warm thank you. We're always helping each other out and the world needs that kind of attitude nowadays.

I have a lot to be thankful for: every sunrise and sunset and all the time in between that I can squeeze in for my 3 fantastic kids and my wife who for some reason still puts up with me and this wonderful thing called triathlon.
I'm thankful that my body and spirit is still willing and able, for the most part, to meet every day's challenges with a measure of excitement and awe.... ain't life grand
And, I'm thankful for so many friends, everyone here included.
The list is alot longer, but I'll keep it short for here.
Happy Thanksgiving all!!!

I don't need to get faster, I just need to get older!
Amen to all the things we can be thankful for. Its my anniversary ! 1982 on Thanksgiving Day, I started my endurance sports journey with an aborted attempt to run a 1/4 mile. 24 years, 32 marathons, 16 triathlons and countless amazing training days later, I stand amazed and even at age 63, enlivened to continue this wonderful journey.

awesome! great thread. I'm thankful for friends, family, my health, this site and the relationships that I'v made through it, my dog (who helps me balance the work and play), and just the opportunity and freedom to do and pursue my passions.
I have to be thankful for many things, this year has been very good to me.First I am thankful that my parents are in great health. I am thankful for all the wonderful friends that have been with me, all Trifuelers included.
I am thankful of being able to keep practicing and enjoying this great sport.

Wow! Where do I begin?? I have to say everything. The good and the bad. Cause without the bad we cannot appreciate when we have the good and how much it means to us. Also, we are just so lucky we live in such a great place as the Americas that allow us the freedom and pleasure to persue our interests (like tris etc.) without the fear of anything. We truly are wealthy and lucky nations.

Nice thread - Good to take a moment to step back from the fray and see all that we have to be thankful for.

What is everyone doing for training on Thanksgiving?
I have a 10k race (an annual run in town that should be pretty competitive). Then I have a 30 min swim, a 60 minute bike and finally will finish off later in the evening with a 45 minute weight lifting session.
Somewhere in the middle of that I need to get some turkey!
Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Cheers! Like the many good people who've posted above, I'm deeply thankful for my beautiful family, my friends, the sport of triathlon, my love of the law, and of course, the gorgeous Bay Area:

I am thankful for my beautiful loving and very supportive wife
My 2 wonderful kids that help remind I'm not getting any younger
All my friends that includes everyone here at trifuel. When I first registered for trifuel I just figured I would get some good info about tri's but you guys are also a great support system. I have been to a ton of other forums where all the users do is flame each other but you don’t get that here just great people being super supportive and sharing invaluable information. Thanks tribro for trifuel.
What am I on? I'm on my bike busting my ass 6 hours a day... What are you on? - Lance Armstrong
Like everyone else-I'm thankful for my friends and family. Also, athough I may get frustrated with not losing a few extra pounds here and there-I'm sooo thankful for my health and my body and all the pounding it puts up with. I feel so fortunate that I can do this great sport and get up the next day and do it again! No workouts for me tomorrow-taking a break and it's going to be horrible weather up here in the Northeast!
Set goals...... but be here now. Enjoy the ride to the finish line.
After my night at work tonight and the complexities of my patients, I am thankful for my good health, happy organs (Dr. Rios may be the only to understand this one) and medical knowledge. I am also thankful for my family, my love of sport, my ability to take care of others, my friends, my Trifuel family, and that I am physically able to run 13.1 miles at the Seattle Half Mary on Sunday.
Happy Turkey Day to all!

I am thankful for:
my amazing children and wife who puts up with all my training. How did I get so lucky?
for my health and my families health.
for being able to teach and coach some of the greatest kids ever.
for finally having the drive to begin triathlons and conquering a lot of self-doubt along the way.
for continuing to have the drive to wake up each morning and train.
for the incredible way a long bike ride or a 100 laps in the pool make me feel when I am finished.
Happy Thaksgiving.
It is 40 degrees and pouring rain, so 1 hour on the trainer this morning.
I'm thankful for...
my family
my wonderful boyfriend (who even runs and bikes with me... even when I take him on crazy mountain rides I don't know)
my friends
the ability to do this stuff
the ability to sleep in sometimes
the feeling of belonging with all you crazies (I mean that in the nicest way)
the nephew (now nephews) who let me play with them and take them for runs and bike rides

... My wife and family
... Every day that I get to spend doing things I love with the people I love

Here it is...American Thanksgiving on Thursday. We look inside and ask what we have to be thankful for, so I'm going to ask that question here:
"What do you have to be thankful for?"
I'm thankful I awoke this morning, that I have a body that is still allowing me to be active at 52 and that my mind is sharp (most of the time.) Thankful for friends and that includes beads...as well as all of you here. My Family and a wonderful woman I never thought I'd find.
My best to you all.
