hey all, just wanted to get some feedback on the training plan I had up on the website. Please let me know if you used it, and how it worked out for you. Thanks for your time- and don't forget to enjoy the off season- now where did I put that donut?

I followed the plan for the most part. It was my first season of tri's and I thought it went extremely well. I had only begun to ride in March and my first real swims were in January. I was able to stay healthy during the duration of the plan and I felt really good on race day except for some stomach problems during the first half of the run. I did add 2 longer rides of 4 and 5 hours and a few 20 mile runs that lasted around 3 hours. Thanks for making the plan available.

BigMatt,
Do you have a link to your plan. I did a search on the site and wasn't able to find it.

BigMatt...get back to me in July...I'm using it,with some modifications, for IMLP. I compared it to a number of other plans from book to expensive coached and think it's spot on. Much more involved than plans I've used in the past.

I used your plan for the 70.3 WC. I felt VERY prepared for the race...never before had I biked three days and ran three days in training for a HIM. I only swam two days in your plan...but I feel that my swimming has improved the most this season. I tweaked the routine a little bec I do more high-volume during the week and take a weekend day off, but I stil kept altering B and S-R days.

I would have liked a weight routine or two added in earlier in the program. Otherwise, I will use it again next spring. Thanks for your insight!

Overall I thought the plan was great. Like others I did some small tweaking, but it was the foundation for my HIM training this year. Any chance of an IM training plan?

I am 63 and wanted a plan to just finish. The plan was great for me. Like the others I tweaked it...put Sunday as a day off instead of Monday...After I started getting in the flow, later in the program, I ramped up some of the sessions. This year I want to do it with the weight program ...and thanks so much for posting this program. I have reviewed tons of plans but I settled on yours. It was the first time I have ever been on a training plan and I have been doing endurance sports a while now...thanks again
