Surprising that one of Hamilton's crew failed to get the job done. Must have been running low on EPO or something. :)

I was really suprised Hamilton's bike split was not faster. I know that is a difficult course or they would not have had the rely competition, but even so, a 4:34 @ 25 mph. I just thought he'd be faster. Bjorn rode the course with only one aerobar (bar-end shifter hanging from the cable) and was not too far off the pace.

I hope I'm not spoiling the suspense for anyone, but not one team made it under 8 hrs. Tyler Hamilton's cadre along with the top 2 other teams seemed to be on pace through the bike leg. However, their marathoner (evidently capable of a sub 2:20:00 based on previous credentials) needed to run a 2:40:00 and fell off late. I think the final time for the first team was 8:17 + some change.
