so i'm trying to decide between the QR Caliente or the Seduza. both '06 models are on sale at a couple different sites. anybody have an opinion if the Caliente is really worth the extra $1,000 (after both bikes are reduced with the sale prices.) if you compare the specs, the biggest difference is the seat post and the wheels....thoughts from any current owners??

I have the Caliente and I love it! (Did many long training rides on it this season, and just finished my first IM on it last weekend in FL.) I'd say you're still getting a great bike in the Seduza, though. You can always pick up good wheels later on and they'll probably be better than the ones that come stock on the Caliente which I'd say fall in the OK but not spectacular category.

Have fun with your new toy!!

While I am not an owner of either bikes, I would like to add my .02

The Seduza is a heck of a deal. Same exact frame as the Caliente, just with an aluminum seatpost and a parts spec that wont hold you back. That extra $1k can get you one heck of a set of race wheels that will save you more time than any seatpost of parts spec upgrade could possibly manage.

IMO, the Seduza is a no brainer. if you have the money for the Caliente, get a Hed disc and H3 front or something like that.

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
