Hey Guys,
I posted this on another forum but thought I would like all of the advice I could get, so here it is:
I am thinking about up grading to the Quintana Roo Caliente or the Cervelo P2C, and I was just wondering which bike do people think is the better deal. I am currently riding a 2005 Quintana Roo Kilo. I do not own a nice set of racing wheels, so it is great that the 06 Caliente comes with a set. Speaking of which, how much of a difference does a set of race wheels make? Is riding on a all carbon bike going to be a lot more comfortable during an Ironman?
Anyway, any thoughts or advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

Race wheels will help, especially in an IM. I don't know how much it will help, but from the may reports and tests that I've seen, it would probably save you a few minutes for 112 miles. I can't say much about the bikes, but Carbon is nice, I'll say that much.

I have a P3C and I can say this much: The best and fastest bike I've ever ridden!

The P2C is a very similar frameset (both in frame design and geometry), so some of this should apply. I switched to the P3C after a few years on a aluminum P3. Carbon is NICE! The two biggest differences I've noticed are weight savings and ride comfort. You'll notice the shock absorbing qualities of a carbon bike most tooling around on training rides. Rolling a set of clincher with 100-120 psi the ride is really supple and less tiring. Even on race wheels (sew-ups) 140-150 psi the ride is less abrasive and saves some energy over the cours of longer rides. In addition, it just plains weighs less (component choices excluded).

As far as race wheels, glbrum is right, and estimates differ based on avg. speed over whatever distance, but you can figure on a few mins. at 112 miles. Maybe, a little more with a disc.
