Hi, my name is Craig, and I'm...
Welcome to Trifuel.
The NYC tri swim is with the current so you'll get a little help on this one and no, not all tris are that expensive, see posts earlier this week.
Good luck with the training.

Welcome and congrats on signing up. If you can, find a good swim coach. Technique is everything in swimming, much more so than cycling and running. All the best to you in your training!

FRICKIN EXCITED! I just finished signing up for my first tri. The NYC Triathlon. I am currently a cyclist. I competed in a couple of races last year. I'm more of an endurance athlete than speed. I know how to swim, but not fast so I'm going to be working on swimming and running. I pride myself in learning a lot about something before I start so I'm going to be doing a LOT of reading as I begin my training. I'm going to start heavy on cycling since that is what I know and love. Then when I learn more about the technique of running and swimming, I will start on those. In advance, I want to thank all of you for your help and support. I know I'll be posting quite a bit during the winter(Michigander) to keep my spirits up about training. Thanks guys and gals!
