Hi Guys-

Last July at the end of a Tri, a man from an Active Release Therapy Clinic was there, and he offered to perform a trial on my back. So I did it, it felt great, but never really thought practically about it.
Now I’m looking to have it done to eradicate some of the scar tissue and tightness on my quad- Anyone have any experience with ART, and what to expect from it?

I've had it done and I like it alot. It does hurt, sometimes alot, but it's well worth it. It breaks up scar tissue and gets all your muscles and ligaments moving in the right direction. If you want to find some who practices in your area, go to
activerelease.com
They have alist of people who are registered to perform ART in your area.

my two cents

Lana:)

ART is awesome. however i hate paying so much cash for it. get a hard foam roller from a sports store and roll all you muscles on it. works a treat, only cost me $50

it will hurt heaps initially, but once you get used to it it's fine so just break through that wall!

Yes, I have heard it does hurt quite a bit. But I would drink motor oil if all of my aches in my leg would go away over night.

they literally do go away over night. I got on the foam roller 3 times a day for a week then twice a day from week 2 till now, and my legs have never felt better. it's like haveing a massage in the morning and in the night!

Yea, I can't wait till tomorrow. I realized today when I'm not running at XC training pace 7:7:15 min/mi (170bpms/198Max) my pain is greatly reduced. ugh! I may take the compression sleeve off now.
