Has anyone ever used a PowerLung?

It seems like alot of hype to me and something you would see on a late night infommerical. But I am always open to new ideas so I thought I would see if any Trifuelers knew about this product.

It claims to improve your lung capacity, etc.

You probably are right on target with that but I figured it was worth asking about.

total hype. Pick up a pack of straws or purse your lips into a whistling type opening. Using a powerlung will probably increase your chances of getting some kind of infection if you keep re-using the same object.

It's not going to increase your lung capacity. Your lungs aren't going to get any bigger, nor are you going to grow new alveoli.

It might increase the amount of your existing lung capacity that is usable by strengthening the diaphragm, but there are cheaper and equally effective ways of accomplishing that.

P.T. Barnum said it best..."Ther's a sucker born every minute."
Which seems to apply to many "necessities" in the triathlon world.
My neighbor bought one...he tried it. I tried it. We gave it to a local bikie to try...Total bologna.

I tried the expanda-lung - same concept - much much cheaper - equally useless though.

You know, P.T. Barnum didn't actually say that.
