Just wondering, For those of you out there that DO weight train, do you scale back on time/intensity on recovery weeks just like with your tri training? Or do you continue on with your normal weight routine? I assume that since the purpose of the recovery week is to recover, maybe I should drop back on the weights also, mainly intensity. Anyone have any thoughts?

I usually go three weeks on, with either maintaining or increasing weight, followed by one week of lighter and easier weights. So yeah, I do schedule in recovery weeks.

Johnie,

In the weight training plan i got when I tried CTS, when I was in the strength phase the 4th week was in fact lighter. So I woulg go with a yes!!

But in Maintenance all the weeks looked the same. I had to work out light or moderate only two days each week. There was no difference in rest week.

But all plans are different. My brother is training for a 1/2IM with MarkAllen and his weight plan is a lot different. It involves volume, intensity, speed and some other stuff I can´t remember. he hasn´t shared the info totally yet.

Hyperactive Trifueler!!!! (I refuse to let the status go :p)
