Hi everybody.

I'm interested in buying a GPS and want to know if those forerunner are good for cycling as well (does it measures hill percentage?). If not, please tell me which one does it and if it's compatible with running.

Thanks

I have a Garmin 301. You can use it in running or cycling mode. They works fairly well, but I've only used it about a dozen times in year.

I have the 301 (couple years) and just bought the 305 for my daughter. I really love mine. It does running and cycling as well as allows for other sports as well. It also does multi-sport - so it is easy to do a brick workout. It does record all the elevation changes - and there are several packages that will accept the uploads from Garmin to analyze the data. Garmin customer support is great as well. There are some good deals out there - Got the 305 for $100 off list price.

I've been using the 302 for the past year...love it for both running and biking.

Yes, it does measure hill percentage, both positive and negative.
