Just thought I would introduce myself. I am a 33 yr. old male and live in Va. Beach. I was challenged my a good friend of mine to compete in triathlons so I said what the hell. I just started my training a month ago and have a long way to go, but hey I got a year until the sandman here in Va. beach and hopefully I will be ready. I hope to learn a bunch from everyone here so I hope your ready for all my questions.

Welcome.
This site helped me a lot when I first came to the sport.
You will find lots of info that helps!
You can always search the threads for older posts or feel free to ask anything you are in doubt of; trifuelers are always happy to guide you in the right direction or at least give you enough info to make your own calls.

Hyperactive Trifueler!!!! (I refuse to let the status go :p)

Va Beach is a beautiful area. I was down there on vacation over the summer. Went out on one of the Tuesday morning training rides with the guys from Fat Frogs. Hope to get back there this summer.

Welcome. Good luck with the training. A year is plenty of time to get ready. Heck after training through the winter you'll probably sign up for some earlier events!:D

Good luck with the training. This site will help you tremendously.

Is that "PainTrain" as in "Terry Tate, Office Linebacker"?

gfd,
Yes Triple T is where Paintrain comes from. My training partner says "When it's game time it's Pain time!!!! Whoa!!!" So I chose Paintrain to remind me to stay motivated
