I was looking at the Chicago Triathlon website and see that they are borrowing a page from the Desoto TTT and the Goofy Challenge. Next year, you can sign up to do the Supersprint tri on a Saturday, leave in wave 1 for a Sprint tri early on Sunday morning, and then hop in wave 40 for the Oly tri later that same morning. Total mileage in each sport is less than a half-ironman.

I'm probably going to pass on the opportunity this year--just the Oly for me--but thought some of you crazier types might be interested.

Check it out at chicagotriathlon.com

Hmmm... sounds very interesting. I did watch my dad and sister complete the sprint and then I still had 1.5 hours before I started my oly.

I did get an invite to do the elite race next year (Goodness knows why...), so I'm thinking about doing that (and getting dead last). 3 tri's in one weekend sounds like a lot of fun to me though.

That sounds like a lot of fun... If you pace yourself on the sprint, you should have a pretty decent time on that oly. I would certainly do it! That's a triathlon to the power of 3!

That's freakin' cool. If only I was going to be in Chicago in August...
