i may be off on my syllables but i dont care ! lol

i like to suffer
my bike is my preference
lungs are on fire

i am an addict
my body creates the drug
the best high ever

Nice chris...
but lets get serious.
Haiku Is three lines, with a syllable count of 5/7/5. Often done with a 7/7 "answer" to the first section.

Wet suit on and tight
bike waiting in transition
shoes call my name

Wetsuit a crumpled heap
Bike and shoes exhasuted

Sea of ebon hush
thrashing churning swim buoy swim
emerge unsteady run

hurry shed that clinging skin
another waits nigh sunset

Good lord, I havent done this since like 4th grade. Might not be spot on, but close enough. Guess where I just came from...

Chains clicking softly
Flashes of color blurring
Brakes dragging dirt

Sun, bugs, clay, and smiles
Trails beckon me home

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.

I LOVE Haiku:

Three sports -- swim, bike, run.
Try being good at them all!
Every day is fun.

Practicing three sports tires me.
I must recover as well.

Push through water, wind, air
Endure pain, sweat, fear, for desire
Legs lungs hurt we fight.

Each day repeat to be better
To be the best we can be.

moving feet forget
and paddling hands too busy
to ponder evil

so I have to keep moving
because I can't change the world

Sorry....I'm in a bit of a funk right now.

You have come the closest to including a reference to a season in your Haiku (another Haiku tradition)

Long gone days return
Wheels singing over pavement
Freedom and flying

Not a care in this harsh world
I found my fountain of youth.

How can I get rid of stress
Can I find relief?

Swim bike and run is the cure
It will bring me peace of mind
