Wow that is great! Too bad you can't go, but awesome accomplishment to have been selected! Good luck at IM Florida.

Whoa, like you said that's huge. Tough call on not going, but if you hit it this year, you'll be all that much better next year for another spot.

Congrats!!
It is a tough call to make, but your education is important.
You will probably get better with time and get invited again.
Way to keep focused on the goal of IM Florida.
Good luck!!:D

heh, better let our sponsors know... :)

So after a ride yesterday I checked my email and saw that I had USAT message in my inbox. After reading for a few seconds I found out I was selected to be on the National team for the age-group long course worlds! This came as a HUGE surprise to me. One, I'm relatively new to triathlon (only two seasons). Two, I never really considered myself good enough to represent anyone in national/international competition. Apparently because I placed top-four in my AG (2nd and 4th) in two world qualifying events (that I didn't know were qualifiers) I was put into the national team selection pool. I was pretty juiced after finding out. Unfortunately, though, there is no way for me to compete. I have IM Florida two weeks before and I can't take off a week of school to go to Australia. If given the chance again, though, I will definetly persue this. So, hopefully next season I can unknowingly requalify and race in France in July. I'm still kind of in shock and surprised!
