Yiou're correct, IM France is a very tough bike course. I road bike with some clip ons would probably be the wisest choice for that course.
Side note: "Le" in French means "the", so "the Le Tour" means "The the Tour" in English. Just thought you might like to know.;)

I personally would still use a tri bike. I did IM UK this year, which is a tad hillier bike course than IM France. I don't know how much a road bike geo affects your running, but it affects mine, so I would stick with a tri if you're used to it.
Anyone have any experience with IM France held in Nice, or the old Nice Tri? I am debating IM France or IM Florida next year.
It looks to me like IM FRance and the bike course is really pretty and tough. (Just like the Le Tour) For this race would just a standrd road bike work better then my tri, as this course is litterely in the mountains?
Anyone have any feedback about the race or the course. I can't find much write ups out there on this one on the net.
