has anyone ever experienced this
I see this once in a while, but only on people wearing old shorts... I actually never saw this on brand new shorts. Maybe it's used! :D

Hey! how did your race?
Hey Dave!
Well, I did great... I set a new course record for the under 25 category!
Planning to sell my Guru to buy a brand new P3 carbon, negociating to put the LBS name on my shirt for next season in exchange of a cheap P3.
Got 2 news sponsors since that race! :D Breaking records helps a bit...
Still want to join us on saturday mornings? You're always welcome.
Even if your shorts were see-through I don't think anyone would tell you...unless you're a girl. I told my buddy that her shorts were a little thin, but that's how girls look out for each other. As for you guys, I'd bet a hundred bucks that they'd let you ride in the buff if they could just so they could laugh at you.
On a related note, I recently bought the DeSoto 200-mile shorts and they too are a little thin, but quite honestly, they're so comfortable that I'm going to wear them anyway....besides, I can't see my back side ;)

I've got the PIs and dont have a problem with transparency.
Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
The important question is,
Do you have something to be worried about? :p

I see it quite often on the bike, especially when it aero position because you are really stretching the shorts. It doesn't bother me so much when it happens to the women, though in the last race there was a lady I that I wish I hadn't seen that had an easily visible thong underneath the shorts she was wearing. It was a little traumatic.
Too funny...Star I just bought a pair of the DeSoto bike shorts as well and um yeah. HOLY SEE THROUGH! Of course they were on super sale and I can't return them. Guess I'll have to find some long jerseys
I had the same problem with my PI tri-shorts. Here's a review (if they're the same shorts).

If you train in the pool, they will get even thinner, so I found out after the above review. The chlorine must have got to them. I had to send them back to PI for replacement.
I use a pair of training speedos underneath.
no problem I was just pissed about buying a product that was already see through! In my opinion it shortens the life of the shorts considerably!

Has anyone ever had tri shorts that you could see through. I just bought a pair of pearl izumi tri shorts and when I put them on you could see through them a little. I was wondering if any of you guys have had the same thing and what is the deal with that I thought it was a great brand of shorts. I am scared to go outside for fear when the sun hits it or it stretches like on the bike you could see right through them.
