Another NEW RIDE: Cervelo P3 Carbon
Very nice! I am a huge fan of your seat, XLab, pedals and aerobars. I have all the same besides the bars which I hope to have very soon.
If you wish to be out front, then act as if you were behind.
Saw the BMC, very nice bike. The HED. Aerobar is out standing! Lowest pad position availible as far as I know, you will not be disappointed! Plus, '06 model is only 700+ grams w/ carbon S-bend extensions.

Now THAT'S a BIKE!!!!
It's simply perfect. CONGRATULATIONS on the excellent buy. Best of luck with your iron distance race. The only trouble now is that same old cliché ... you don't have any more excuses on the bike :-)
Weight? (I'm guessing it's right around 16.0lbs.)
Very nice.
Still, I hate you guys with disposable income!;)
It'll be probably 2 more seasons until I will be able to get mine.
So, in the meantime I will just drool over your pics!

P3s arent THAT light. The Scott Plasma is one of the lightest available and can be built to 15-16 lbs. That P3 with the Xlab and all should be close to 17- 19 (size depending, of course.)
It IS a nice bike. I'm not so much a fan of the Xlab, due to how far they stick out the back. A little innovation, and you can get all that stuff on a Minoura rack that hugs the bike a lot better... for a lot less.
Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
Nice bike! I assume you have a rear wheel besides just the disc one for windy and/or very hilly conditions. Otherwise it looks like a beast!
Well done :)

I had the Minoura on my last P3, it is lighter, but not as durable. After about a year of loading it with 32 oz. bottles it became loose, even with new lock washers it would not longer stay tight. Then it makes this annoying sweak over the slightest bump.
Yes, you can get all the stuff on it, but not nearly as secure!
Right now, I only have the disc. My last race for the season is flat, so no problem there. I bought the 909 package because you save a little more on the disc. Anyway, before the start of next season I'll either get a 404 or 808 rear, I've not decided yet.

Yeah they're actually so inexpensive that I frequently use them as currency when I don't have any cash, like yesterday at lunch. I can usually get a Chicken Souvlaki for about 4 or 5 Cervelo P3s with the 909 wheelset.

In fact, a disc wheel wil see the most benefit on windy days. If it's too windy to ride a disk, it's probably too windy to race at all. Unless of course your racing IMH in which anything goes.

Without looking at numbers (and the bike isn't mine) the complete bike, sans race wheels, goes for $4,500. The disk and front go for $1,800 - $2k. You can do the math from there.

I couldn't resist, everyone else is showing off their new rides, so I had to add mine to the list.
After reading the Triathlete Mag. article about R&A Cycles, I had to go. This is what I came home with! Any triathlete in the northeast that can make the trip to Brooklyn, it is well worth it. Even if your not looking for a new bike, go see the shop it is amazing. They have everything, it's no lie everything is in stock. If you are you can't beat the prices. They deal such large volume you can save plenty of doe.
I arrived at 12 PM and walked out around 6 PM with a custom built P3 Carbon. Speced, built, and fitted on the spot, no waiting or ordering.
As far as the bike, it speaks for itself. FAST!! My first race on it will be the Chesapeakeman Iron-Distance at the end of the month, can't wait.
