build up on tyr swim goggles

this is my first year of triathlon and swimming. i'm using a pair of tyr goggles but have been running into a problem with lenses hazing.

inevitably, the goggles get smudged from the oil on my eyelids and face or even from my fingers. i try to wipe away the smudge or wash it out but a white film/haze gets onto the goggles. no matter what i do, it won't come off.

i've tried soaking the goggles in simple green and rubbing alcohol and nothing works. i even tried to use the tyr anti-fog solution, but that didn't work either. in frustration, i've tried to SCRATCH of the haze off w/ my finger nails and the haze won't come off.

i'm confused and have gone through 2 sets of goggles because of the same problem - anyone have any advise?

Spit or just regular dish detergent.

It could be a mineral build up from the water you are swimming in.
I would try soaking them in a 1/1 solution of vinegar and water for about 10 minutes and then rinsing them well with clean water.

Couldn't hurt :D

I've had some similar issues with my goggles. Usually the lens turns cloudy and when I try to wipe them off, they scratch as though I am clearing off an ultrathin layer of dried crusty pancake batter.

I suspect the chlorine reacts with some coating on the lens.
I end up replacing my goggles when this happens.
