I think I've narrowed my tri-bike selection down to either a Kuota Kalibur or a Kestrel Airfoil. Anyone have any thoughts on these, would be particularly interested if you have ridden both.

Thanks

I haven't riden either, but I think I have seen some pretty good markdowns on the airfoil as of late. Maybe that would be a deciding factor.

I'd go with the Airfoil between those two (sucker for internal cables). For the money, though, I think you'd be better off with a Giant Trinity. Looks real similar in many respects to the Kuota, but has those sexy internal cables :-)

Whatever you do, make sure to get some S-Bends on that puppy!

If I HAD to pick between one of those, I'd go with the Airfoil.

I'm sorry, (no offense implied) please don't base your decision on whether or not the bike has internal cable routing. Yes, it looks nice, but please.

I am in the same situation where I am trying to decide between a Kalibur and a Caliente.(sorry, I'm not a big Kestrel fan)
All I can say is that the Kalibur is a pretty good frame and with the right equipment setup and wheels its hard to beat in many ways. Light, stiff, low profile, awesome looks !
I agree , get the S-bends !

Well, both frames are made of CF. They have similar geometries. Neither has a specific reputation as a "better" bike. Without riding either bike, what features do you have by which to separate them, other than their aesthetics? For me, that includes internal cables, among other things.

I notice that in your post, you didn't indicate why you'd choose the Airfoil. Maybe a similarly aesthetic reason? Anyway, no offense taken.
