Beer? Calling my name? Why, I'm talking to a " Blue Moon" right now!
Bawlmer is about an hour and change..So you wnat me to stand around and wait for you to finish some bloody race...for a beer?
Cool...let me check my schedule and see if we can make that happen.

I'll be doing the bmore 1/2 marathon, so i'll be there. should be a fun race! i'm doing marine corps marathon 2 weeks later, so am using bmore as a training run. the best thing about bmore races is the beer afterwards! almost every race i've done there (5ks, 10ks, etc) have beer. oh, and the atmosphere is always upbeat and friendly too!

I am not doing it this year ( I was lucky enought to get a spot in NYC), but I did it in 2003. It is a really nice course and was nicely organized for a new event. Lots of friendly people and crowd support.
There is a long slow climb to start the race and miles 17 thru 20 are tough. Once you finish the climb at 20 it is all flat and downhill. Great finish between the Wharehouse and Camden Yards.
There was beer afterwards as well as an Underarmour tent that was filled with everything you can imagine they make and everything was 50% off or more.
You will have a good time. Good luck.

Ever been to a Nordic ski race or a ski jumping or even a downhill race?
European tradition...ring cow bells. Obnoxious as hell...which is why I do it.

Well there was lots of cowbell!!
I finished in 4:07:17
The course was pretty good. It had some hilly spots and some areas where the road was concrete which I felt in my knee.
The weather was cool and clear at the start(about 40 degrees) and only warmed up to the low 60's. It was sunny and a little breezy. Great conditions overall.
It was great to get a PR. My training this year went well despite the knee re-injuries.
I think I should be able to go under 4 hours in the spring or maybe next fall in NYC.
