I walked into a LBS today to find a bike for my girlfriend and asked if Cervelo's models were coming down in price now that the year was winding up.

I discovered the the Dual Ultregra 10 is only $1650 CDN!!! (That about $400 off).

Now, I realllllllly want this bike, and have for ages, but I can't really afford it...

...unless I sell my road bike. Its only 8 months old so I hope I can get about $1000 for it. However, is it a bad idea to only have a tri bike and no road bike to train on?

Also, anyone know how good the stock saddle is on the Dual? I have a Specialized S-Works on my current bike that I love, but I might be able to add a little more to my sale price if I keep it on.

Bump.

My ride in the Vancouver Triathlon was great yesterday, but I can't help but feel that my bike is holding me back a little.

I HAD a Dual...loved it. Sold it because I just couldn't get it to fit right. (54 and should have had a 52)
I remember the seat...replaced it after the first ride. But that was then ...this is now.
Did IMLP '04 on it. Handled well. Aluminium, which I love. I had probably 2k miles on it when I sold it.
I only have road bikes now but feel strongly that a tri bike and road bike are BOTH necessary...Need a bike to ride in winter in crappy conditions, really hilly tris and what not.
