I'm still working on this. I tried adding some things for the flickr but looks like I have to do some software upgrades first. So trying to do some backups first then upgrades then add some flickr stuff.
hopefully have some in the next day or two. waiting to here back from host on DB backup issues.

o.k. pulling my hair out on this one. I spent pretty much all of yesterday trying to upgrade the system to allow for "widgets", the new drag and drop functionality in wordpress. I seemed to have accomplished that, but for the life of me can not get any of the Flickr widgets or plugins working.
However, I did finally just do a test to insert one of Flickr's badges into my template and it looks to work.
Instructions:
1. In your Admin, goto Presentation > Themes > Choose Regulus 2.1.1 (currently the only one to support widgets, eventually I'll convert the others)
2. Click "SideBar Widgets" in that same Presentation section. Drag and Drop a "Text" block from the "Available Widgets" section to your sidebar section.
3. Click on the right corner box of the "Text 1" widget and it should bring up a text box. Paste your Flickr badge info in there. Click the "x" in the corner of text block.
4. Click "Save Changes" and that should do it. Hopefully :) Seems to work on mine.
Also tested on Safari and doesn't work but does on Firefox. Haven't tried IE yet. Let me know if you get it to work.

Are you using the link you created on your sidebar? http://bluebirdbiker.trifuel.net/wp-admin.php?
If so the link is incorrect. it may have worked previously but perhaps the upgrade caused a change. It should be http://bluebirdbiker.trifuel.net/wp-admin/

BTW...
While in Canada, we had discussed an option to add some things to the sidebar. I think the "Text" widgets might do the trick. You can add more "Text" widgets in the admin and then paste stuff into them. So you may be able to paste a thumbnail of your powerpoint and link to it. Not sure if you can upload a powerpoint to the blog though, you may try to upload like an image in a post and see if it works. If not let me know and I'll take a look at some possible options for that.
